Hsl Innovation in Brazil is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to progress all design elements in line with the Design Checklist and to prepare tender packages with specifications and drawings.

You will stay current with engineering trends, tender and estimate electrical works, compile O&M dossiers, and brief the System Supervisor on scope, documents, and changes. Strong knowledge of lighting design, cable and short-circuit calculations is essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8 years of electrical design experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and PDF management.
• Knowledge of electrical design concepts in at least one area: lighting, cables, short circuit.
• Familiar with local practices and standards in Brazil.

Responsabilidades

• Progress design elements in line with the Design Checklist.
• Prepare electrical tender packages including specifications and drawings.
• Remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends; stay technically competent.
• Tendering and estimating of electrical works for projects prior to award.
• Compilation and review of Operation and Maintenance Dossier for Projects.
• Ensure the System Supervisor is provided with current shop and space management drawings, specs, submittals, and changes.
• Ensure the System Supervisor is briefed on awarded scope, tender documents, and contractual revisions.
• Evaluate technical submittals for specification and client requirement compliance.
• Approve Test Packs at each step of construction through to completion.
• Forward testing and commissioning criteria to the System Supervisor.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Progressing all elements of design in-line with the Design Checklist;
• Prepare electrical tender packages including specification and drawings;
• Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent;
• Tendering and estimating of electrical works for projects prior to award;
• Compilation and Review of Operation and Maintenance Dossier for Projects;

Ensuring the System Supervisor is provided with the current shop and space management drawings, specifications, approved technical submittals and all approved changes in scope;

Ensuring the System Supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents and all contractual revisions to tender documentation;

Evaluating technical submittals for specification and client requirement compliance;

Approving Test Packs at each step of construction through to completion;

Forwarding testing and commission passing criteria to the System Supervisor.:

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8 years of design experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software like Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, PDF document generation and management.
• Knowledge of basic Electrical design concepts in at least one of the following areas:
• Lighting Design
• Cable Calculations
• Short Circuit Calculations
• Basic knowledge of local code of practice for design implementation.
