Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our platform transition, retiring legacy apps and strengthening MCP Hosting Infra on Kubernetes (AWS). You will define technical direction, shape automation for the support bot, and mentor engineers across teams.

You will drive end-to-end technical work including migrations, decommissions, and improving authentication/credential management at scale, while partnering with product teams to set expectations and priorities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Track record of leading technical work end to end, including migrations or decommissions.
• Experience in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes with strong Kubernetes expertise preferred.
• Background in monitoring and observability practices.
• Experience designing authentication or credential-management systems using OAuth2 or at scale.
• Experience designing on-call and support processes, not just participating in them.

Responsibilities

• Lead the spin-down of applications with migration plans and stakeholder communication.
• Influence MCP Hosting Infra reliability and gateway credential handling on AWS Kubernetes.
• Guide evolution of AI Marketplace and define support automation strategy.
• Set standards for Terraform, observability, runbooks, and on-call practices.
• Mentor mid-level engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Act as escalation point for complex incidents and cross-team requests.
