As an Advisory Associate, you will play a central role in delivering high‑impact advisory projects for leading energy‑sector clients in Brazil and Latin America. You will be responsible for structuring problems, guiding analysts, producing high‑quality insights, and engaging directly with clients. This is a role for someone who is analytical, structured, articulate, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast‑paced, intellectually demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Problem Solving & Hypothesis Development

  • Break down complex client challenges into clear analytical questions and structured workstreams.

  • Develop initial hypotheses on market dynamics, project risks, and strategic opportunities.

  • Validate problem statements, assumptions, and analytical paths with the Project Lead and Market Lead.

  • Conduct early research to ensure hypotheses are grounded and aligned with client objectives.

2. Lead & Supervise Analysts

  • Translate project scopes into detailed execution plans with clear timelines and deliverables.

  • Delegate tasks effectively, providing analysts with guidance on methodologies, data sources, and quality standards.

  • Conduct regular reviews of quantitative work, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and analytical rigor.

  • Identify issues early and proactively resolve bottlenecks, risks, or data inconsistencies.

3. Communication & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with the Project Lead about progress, risks, needs, and decisions.

  • Engage with clients throughout the project to ensure continuous alignment of expectations.

  • Document meetings, decisions, next steps, and open points with discipline.

  • Serve as a secondary client point of contact, escalating issues when appropriate.

4. Production of High‑Quality Deliverables

  • Create structured, compelling, and insight-driven client presentations.

  • Develop storylines that connect the problem, analysis, and recommendations smoothly.

  • Craft clean, simple, and visually effective slides that convey key messages without clutter.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet internal quality standards and adhere to brand guidelines.

5. Verbal Communication & Client Presentation

  • Participate actively in internal discussions, contributing perspective and challenging assumptions constructively.

  • Lead sections of client meetings, supported by the Project Lead.

  • Present results with clarity and confidence, explaining insights, implications, and recommendations.

  • Handle client questions with maturity and intellectual honesty.

6. Coach & Develop Junior Team Members

  • Provide actionable guidance to analysts on structure, modelling, research, and problem‑solving.

  • Offer constructive feedback and help build core capabilities across the junior team.

  • Foster a collaborative, respectful team environment focused on excellence and learning.

7. Support to Commercial Efforts & Proposal Development

  • Contribute to the preparation of commercial proposals, including scoping, timelines, methodologies, and value propositions.

  • Bring analytical structure to proposal storylines, ensuring they reflect client needs and market context.

  • Support Market Lead and Project Lead in responding to new business opportunities and RFPs.

  • Help refine proposal templates, case studies, and reusable commercial materials.

  • Participate in early‑stage client calls to clarify needs and shape proposal direction when required.

8. Ownership, Professionalism & Workflow Discipline

  • Take responsibility for your workstreams end‑to‑end, ensuring high‑quality and timely delivery.

  • Manage tasks efficiently across multiple deadlines and workstreams.

  • Maintain strong documentation practices, ensuring transparency and reproducibility.

  • Operate with a high level of accountability, reliability, and autonomy.

9. Contribution to Internal Knowledge & IP

  • Support the creation of reusable frameworks, templates, and knowledge materials.

  • Share learnings and insights from each project with the broader advisory team.

  • Contribute to internal training, methodology evolution, and best practices.

10. Team Culture & Client Value Mindset

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, embodying a constructive, solution‑oriented mindset.

  • Focus relentlessly on delivering value to clients and strengthening long‑term relationships.

  • Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and ownership in high‑pressure moments.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 2–5+ years of experience in consulting, advisory, analytics, finance, strategy, or related fields.

  • Proficiency in Python, especially for analytical workflows, data manipulation, or modelling.

  • Strong analytical problem‑solving skills and comfort working with quantitative data.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and strong competency in Excel or analytical tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage workstreams and guide junior team members.
