As an Advisory Associate, you will play a central role in delivering high‑impact advisory projects for leading energy‑sector clients in Brazil and Latin America. You will be responsible for structuring problems, guiding analysts, producing high‑quality insights, and engaging directly with clients. This role requires analytical thinking, structured communication, and ownership in a fast‑paced, intellectually demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Problem Solving & Hypothesis Development – Break down complex client challenges into clear analytical questions and structured workstreams, develop initial hypotheses, validate problem statements, and conduct early research.
- Lead & Supervise Analysts – Translate project scopes into detailed execution plans, delegate tasks, conduct regular reviews, identify issues early and resolve bottlenecks.
- Communication & Stakeholder Alignment – Maintain proactive communication with leads, engage with clients, document meetings, act as secondary client point of contact.
- Production of High‑Quality Deliverables – Create structured, compelling client presentations, develop storylines, craft clean slides, and ensure deliverables meet internal standards.
- Verbal Communication & Client Presentation – Participate in internal discussions, lead sections of client meetings, present results clearly, and handle client questions.
- Coach & Develop Junior Team Members – Provide guidance on structure, modeling, and research; give constructive feedback and foster a collaborative environment.
- Support to Commercial Efforts & Proposal Development – Contribute to commercial proposals, bring analytical structure, support new business opportunities and RFPs, and refine templates.
- Ownership, Professionalism & Workflow Discipline – Manage tasks efficiently, maintain documentation practices, and operate with accountability.
- Contribution to Internal Knowledge & IP – Support creation of reusable frameworks, share learnings, and contribute to internal training.
- Team Culture & Client Value Mindset – Work collaboratively, deliver value, and demonstrate flexibility and resilience.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2–5+ years of experience in consulting, advisory, analytics, finance, strategy, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python for analytical workflows, data manipulation, or modeling.
- Strong analytical problem‑solving skills and quantitative data experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Portuguese and English.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and strong competency in Excel or analytical tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workstreams and guide junior team members.
- Maturity, ownership, and strong service mindset.
- Experience in the energy sector (optional but highly valuable) – power markets, renewables, transmission, storage, or related areas.
