Aurora Energy Research in São Paulo, Brazil, seeks an undergraduate intern to develop rigorous quantitative analyses and convey insights for client decision-making. You will collaborate with our modelling team, structure economic problems, and help expand our capabilities while engaging with clients to understand requirements.

The role offers exposure to energy market analysis, opportunities to grow into an industry expert, and participation in Aurora’s international, collaborative culture.

Qualificações

• Enrollment in undergraduate programs in quantitative fields at top-tier universities.

Description

Based in São Paulo, you will contribute to the firm, by developing analysis and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision making. You will play an active role in all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesising conclusions into recommendations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required attributes

• Enrollment in undergraduate programs in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Molecular Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or other quantitative fields at top-tier universities
• An ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex quantitative data and information
• Perform in team-oriented environment.
• Dedication and commitment to set objectives and goals
• An ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical parties
• Genuine interest in understanding the Brazilian power market
• Fluency in English and Portuguese - Only CVs in English will be considered

Desirable attributes

• Interest in conducting analysis on power markets
• Competence in advanced data analytics (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, Advanced Excel)
