Senior Accountant

Primary Location: Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil

We're hiring a Senior Accountant for our São Paulo office! We seek an experienced professional with strong accounting knowledge, fluent in English, and with an analytical and collaborative mindset. Responsibilities include month-end close, financial analysis, audit support, and process improvement. We value a dynamic and inclusive work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides coaching and support to less experienced team members
• Applies and updates accounting principles and policies
• Prepares and reviews account reconciliations during month-end closing
• Prepares complex journal entries for financial statements
• Analyzes revenues and expenses, reports variances
• Seeks additional responsibilities and process automation
• Supports internal controls and external audits
• Coordinates with other departments on accounting matters
• Leads team meetings and projects
• Responds to complex stakeholder queries and advises solutions
• Prepares financial reports and statements
• Recommends and implements procedural improvements
• Assists with regulatory filings
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Relevant work experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)

Preferred:

• Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud, MS Access, SQL
• Experience in process optimization
• Professional certifications (CPA, CMA)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
