Booking.com Brasil Servicos de Reservas de Hoteis Ltda (Brazil) is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant for our São Paulo office, to support the Regional Accounting team.

The focus of this position is ensuring accurate and timely accounting of these processes, as well as driving improvements and innovations. Critical thinking, multi-tasking ability, and excellent technical accounting knowledge are essential.

This position reports to the Controller and works closely with other Finance departments in our São Paulo office.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Perform month-end processes, including journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and supporting analysis and documentation.
• Prepare monthly closing reports according to US GAAP.
• Act as an expert to peers and junior team members.
• Proactively communicate potential issues to the Controller.
• Lead or participate in projects and accounting initiatives.
• Drive continuous process improvements and innovations.
• Ensure alignment with statutory and SOX audits.
• Meet and exceed departmental goals.

What You'll Bring:

• 4-5+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Relevant accounting degree (e.g., SPD, ACCA, Bachelor's in Accounting).
• Strong IT skills in financial systems, preferably SAP.
• Languages: Advanced English and Portuguese, Intermediate Spanish.
• Authorization to work in Brazil.
• Critical thinking and complex reconciliation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, high-change environment.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, initiative-driven attitude.
