Senior Accountant

The Statutory Accounting Team at Expedia Group supports legal entities across each jurisdiction globally. We are responsible for local books maintenance, differences between US and local accounting rules, supporting external audits, and producing financial statements for international entities worldwide.

In our Statutory Accounting team, you will have constant contact with local accounting and tax advisors across LATAM/APAC regions and opportunities to exchange knowledge with partners in the US and Europe. Our team ensures compliance with local accounting regulations and reviews indirect taxes.

In This Role, You Will

• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaise with 3rd party service providers to support local compliance requirements
• Support local audits in partnership with senior accountants
• Understand GAAP concepts and their effects on statutory financial results
• Prepare financial statements according to IFRS or local regulations
• Conduct ad hoc analyses
• Support statutory audits in multiple countries

Experience And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related professional experience
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Fluent in English; Spanish is desirable
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong relationship-building skills and cross-functional collaboration
• Attention to detail, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Knowledge of AR and AP subledgers in ERP systems
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, functions) and ability to handle large data sets
• Commitment to continuous improvement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
