Sin Hwa Dee Foodstuff Industries Pte Ltd is seeking a QA cum R&D Executive responsible for leading QA/QC and R&D functions. You will guide the QA framework and SOPs, work across departments, and drive compliance with food safety and hygiene standards to support business growth.

The role includes leading quality audits, investigating issues, and overseeing GMP training for production staff, with a focus on new product development in sauces and costings.

• Develop and revise the QA framework, production standards, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with departments, customers, suppliers, and regulators to maintain high quality.
• Drive projects to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Lead and report on quality audits; address issues highlighted in yield reports.
• Investigate safety, quality and non-compliance issues; implement corrective actions.
• Oversee GMP and food safety training for production staff.
• Perform new product development from sourcing to commercialization, focusing on sauces.
• Continually improve existing products and conceptualize new products.
• Source new suppliers; conduct sensory evaluation and approve materials.
• Prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs.

About the role

QA cum R&D Executive overall responsible for the QA/QC and R&D functions. To lead and ensure a productive and high-performance QA and R&D work environment and to provide effective and efficient technical support services to support the company's business growth and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and revise the quality assurance framework for the company and modify and improve existing production standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Collaborate with all departments, customers, suppliers and government regulatory bodies to ensure quality is a high priority
• Drive projects and processes to ensure compliance with various food safety and hygiene standards and requirements
• Lead and report on quality audits, identify and resolve problems highlighted in yield reports
• Investigate all food safety, quality related and non-compliance issues and ensure corrective measures are implemented and adhered to
• Oversee GMP and food safety training for Production personnel
• Perform new product development from ingredient sourcing, laboratory and kitchen trials to commercialization, focusing especially in sauces
• Conduct continual improvement of existing products and conceptualize new and innovative products
• Source for new and alternative suppliers and conduct sensory evaluation and approval of new and/or alternative raw materials
• Prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs
