Job summary

CHL CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our North Region team. The role focuses on cost management, procurement efficiency, and project profitability across diverse construction initiatives.

You will prepare estimates, monitor costs, manage tenders and variations, and ensure accurate final accounts while coordinating with contractors and internal teams. A diploma or degree in QS or related field is required, with at least 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, tender documents and bill of quantities for construction projects.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and feasibility studies to support project planning and decision-making.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures.
• Manage procurement processes, including obtaining quotations, evaluating suppliers and negotiating contract terms.
• Prepare and process variation orders and claims whilst maintaining detailed project records and documentation.
• Conduct site measurements and inspections to verify work progress and quality standards.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts, reconciling costs against budgets.
• Assist in risk identification and cost mitigation strategies for ongoing and future projects.

About the role

CHL CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in the North Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our construction projects, ensuring cost management, procurement efficiency, and project profitability. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of construction projects, from initial estimation through to final accounts. This position is integral to our project delivery success and offers the opportunity to work on diverse, high-profile construction initiatives across Singapore's North Region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, tender documents and bill of quantities for construction projects
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and feasibility studies to support project planning and decision-making

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials, methods and industry standards
• Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g.. Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
• Knowledge of Singapore's construction regulations, standards and contractual practices
