RecruitPedia Pte Ltd in North Brazil is seeking a New Product Development (NPD) Quality Director to lead R&D quality governance across the NPD/NPI lifecycle and multiple sites.
The role requires extensive APQP/NPD experience, ISO/IATF knowledge, and strong cross-functional leadership. Willingness to travel to China plants is required as projects expand globally.
Our client is a global leader in advanced semiconductor manufacturing solutions. Due to business expansion, they are now recruiting a New Product Development (NPD) Quality Director to lead R&D team. They are located in the North – easily accessible.
Drive quality planning and governance throughout the entire New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle, from concept validation to production ramp-up.
Establish and enhance quality frameworks, control plans, risk management practices, and reliability validation processes to support successful product launches.
Lead quality assurance activities across development, pilot builds, manufacturing transfer, customer qualification, and post-launch performance.
Implement and maintain quality management processes aligned with recognised industry standards, including ISO 9000 and IATF 16949.
Develop structured quality workflows, APQP documentation, lessons learned databases, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen development processes.
Oversee product and process quality reviews, ensuring effective issue resolution, corrective actions, and preventive measures during development stages.
Support digitalisation initiatives by improving quality data integration across enterprise systems and enhancing reporting visibility for product portfolios.
Collaborate with regional manufacturing sites to ensure consistent quality execution across development, production, supplier quality, and customer support functions.
Monitor project quality performance, compliance milestones, and readiness for product industrialisation while supporting business growth initiatives.
Lead quality governance for new product launches across multiple manufacturing locations and customer implementation activities.
Education: Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience: Min 3-5 years in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), (NPD/NPI, EMS, contract manufacturing) with proven leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Quality & Process: Hands-on experience with Quality Control standards (ISO 9000, IATF 16949); Lean Six Sigma knowledge is an advantage.
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making abilities with experience managing suppliers, R&D, Sales, and Operations teams.
Travel & Preparation: Willing to travel frequently to China plants (with possible stationing) and well‑prepared on the company's products and ongoing projects before interviews.
