We are looking for an experienced professional to support us in shaping our business development activities.

You will be responsible for underwriting reinsurance portfolios at Munich Re do Brasil, with a special emphasis on the Property line of business, guaranteeing the development and profitability of our portfolio and helping our clients grow their business.

Your role

• Actively contribute to the development of MR Brazil's operations by
• Underwriting Property automatic treaties, including coverage analysis, pricing, and negotiation of terms and conditions.
• Monitor the performance of the portfolio by evaluating management reports, internal and external data, maintaining close contact with clients and the claims department, to adjust models and risk appetite and ensure portfolio profitability.
• Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their portfolios, demands, and pain points, and structuring reinsurance solutions that meet their capital and risk needs.
• Proactively support business growth by monitoring market developments and opportunities and supporting innovation initiatives.
• Contribute to treaty underwriting activities through market analysis, studies, and calculations to support pricing and develop client solutions.
• Maintain frequent communication with the Head Office in Munich to discuss local and international developments, internal and external topics, and ensure compliance with Group guidelines, strategy, and profitability standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as other Line of Business Underwriters, Client Management, Innovation, Claims, and Back Office departments to maintain and develop a profitable portfolio.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuary, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Five or more years of experience in the (re)insurance industry.
• Deep knowledge of reinsurance structures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly committed, constructive, and effective team player.
• Curious, enthusiastic, with a keen interest in understanding trends and customer needs.
• Hands-on approach, involved in all operational processes of the treaty management cycle.
