Your contribution at AIG
As an Underwriter, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Trade Credit (TC) and Trade Finance (TF) operations, supporting portfolio management and underwriting strategies.
  • Contribute to implementing strategic plans and identifying growth opportunities in collaboration with brokers and distribution teams.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to underwriting teams, credit officers, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in marketing credit insurance and building Trade Credit accounts in focus markets.
  • Monitor market trends and support the refinement of local business plans to achieve performance targets.
  • Develop skills and knowledge in underwriting practices, risk assessment, and market strategies with guidance from senior team members.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, actuarial sciences, accounting, or a related field.
  • Some experience in underwriting, with an understanding of financial analysis and risk assessment.
  • Eagerness to develop commercial and sales skills, including broker relationship management and client interaction.
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn complex trade credit processes.
  • Effective communication, organization, and teamwork skills, with a proactive and adaptable attitude.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
