Job summary

The Blue Barrel Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Civil/Infra Project Leader for complex underground works. You will develop master schedules, coordinate permits, and oversee geotechnical aspects and MTBM operations on challenging tunnel projects.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in main contracts or 12+ years in subcontracting, with pipe jacking or civil experience preferred, and a valid Class 3 driving licence. PUB project experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in main con or 12 years in subcon.
• Prefer pipe jacking, civil or infra experience.
• Prefer Class 3 driving licence.
• Experience in PUB project is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive work sequences, site setups, and master schedules for underground drives, shaft/chamber construction, and utility diversions.
• Regulatory & Authority Approvals: Coordinate and secure necessary permits, clearances, and plan approvals from Singapore authorities (such as LTA, PUB, or BCA) prior to work commencement.
• Technical & Geotechnical Oversight: Manage risks associated with varying ground conditions, MTBM operations, earth retaining structures, and deep excavations.
• Cost & Budget Management: Control project expenditures, track financial milestones, monitor resource allocation, and ensure completion within the approved contractual budget.
• Team & Subcontractor Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise site engineers, supervisors, jacking machine operators, and subcontractors to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
• Safety, Health & Environment (EHS): Enforce strict workplace safety standards, promote a strong safety culture, manage emergency response protocols inside tunnels/shafts, and comply with Singapore's MOM/NEA environmental regulations.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise regularly with clients, consultants, Resident Technical Officers (RTOs), Resident Engineers (REs), and public/private stakeholders regarding progress and site issues.
