Job summary

Orion Engineered Carbons Bondco GmbH is seeking a Production Planner to lead production planning and inventory management. You will analyze forecasts and customer demand to ensure product availability and optimize inventories, collaborating with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales to align plans with business objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, advanced English skills, and proven experience in production planning or supply chain planning.

• Proven experience in Production Planning, Production Control, or Supply Chain Planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning and inventory management by analyzing forecasts and demand.
• Maintain inventory levels in line with targets and business requirements.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales to align plans with needs.
• Develop and communicate KPIs and operational reports.
• Evaluate requests for additional demand based on capacity and inventory.
• Identify and resolve inventory shortages, excess stock, and imbalances.
• Extract, analyze, and maintain data and reports from SAP and Anaplan.
• Monitor inventories of raw materials, packaging, and production inputs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal policies.

Description:

Main Purpose

Lead production planning and inventory management activities by analyzing sales forecasts and customer demand. Ensure product availability, optimize inventory levels, and support business objectives through efficient production scheduling and supply planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels in line with established targets and business requirements.
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time.
• Develop, analyze, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational reports.
• Evaluate and approve or decline requests for additional customer demand volumes based on capacity, inventory availability, and business priorities.
• Identify and resolve inventory shortages, excess stock, and supply-demand imbalances.
• Extract, analyze, and maintain data and reports from SAP and Anaplan.
• Monitor and control inventories of raw materials, packaging materials, and production inputs.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales teams to align production plans with business needs.
• Ensure compliance with the Global Code of Conduct, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and internal policies and procedures.
