Job summary

Fuji SMBE Technology Pte Ltd is seeking a proactive Manufacturing / Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement, increase production efficiency, and deliver robust process documentation within our switchgear production facility in Brazil.

You will bridge the gap between design and the shop floor, provide real-time technical support to assembly and testing teams, perform root cause investigations, push for CAPA actions, and help deploy MES, lean tools, and advanced equipment to meet KPI

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with strong process engineering experience welcomed.
• Fresh Degree Graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong analytical mindset and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Independent worker with good prioritization on the shop floor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and technical presentation skills.
• Mandarin communication is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and improve SOPs, manufacturing processes, and WI for switchgear production.
• Provide real-time engineering support to assembly and testing teams to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement CAPA actions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve quality and line efficiency.
• Support deployment and optimization of MES, tools, and equipment.
• Collaborate with QA, Design Engineering, and Production to meet KPIs and safety standards.

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Manufacturing / Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement, enhance production efficiency, and ensure robust process documentation within our switchgear manufacturing facility. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design engineering and the shop floor, providing vital technical support to production teams, resolving manufacturing bottlenecks, and championing the implementation of modern manufacturing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), manufacturing processes, and detailed work instructions (WI) specifically for switchgear production.

• Provide real-time engineering technical support to assembly and testing teams to swiftly resolve manufacturing issues and minimize floor downtime.

• Troubleshoot production anomalies, conduct root cause investigations, and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate recurrence.

• Identify and execute opportunities to streamline workflows, eliminate waste (Lean/5S), and elevate overall product quality and line efficiency.

• Support the deployment, commissioning, and optimization of new manufacturing execution systems (MES), specialized tools, and advanced equipment.

• Partner closely with Quality Assurance, Design Engineering, and Production teams to meet plant performance KPIs and ensure strict compliance with safety regulations.

About you

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Candidates with Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with robust, relevant process engineering experience in a manufacturing plant are highly welcome to apply.
