Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Platform Engineering Leader to drive strategy, roadmap and execution for the Platform Engineering area, aligning architectural vision with tangible deliveries. You will lead the team responsible for building and maintaining platforms, portals, corporate frameworks, and productivity tools for engineering teams.

You will promote a strong internal product mindset, drive adoption, documentation, guardrails and measurable impact, and collaborate across Architecture,

Qualificações

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or Software Engineering.
Postgraduate degree or MBA in Architecture, Software Engineering, Technology Management or related areas is desirable.
Solid experience managing engineering teams, preferably in contexts of Platform Engineering, enablement, developer experience or development of shared corporate solutions.
Ability to lead teams with a balance of strategic vision and practical execution.
Experience building and evolving shared platforms, IDP, frameworks, corporate libraries, environment automation, internal portals and reusable solutions.
Knowledge of software architecture, integration, security, observability and operation of corporate solutions.
Experience in technical management of external partners, including scope definition, delivery follow-up, quality governance, acceptance criteria and knowledge transfer.
Ability to maintain internal ownership and avoid excessive dependence on third parties.
Experience defining roadmaps, prioritizing backlogs, managing capacity, dependencies and adoption and impact metrics.
Focus on internal user experience and value generation for engineering teams.
Ability to engage with Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Security, Product and Business areas. Strong communication, influence and ability to drive alignment in complex environments.

Responsabilidades

Lead the strategy, roadmap and execution of Platform Engineering.
Manage and develop the team responsible for building and maintaining platforms, portals, corporate frameworks, libraries and productivity and quality tools for engineering teams.
Lead initiatives such as IDP/Backstage, environment automation, modernization of hubs and connectivity, corporate frameworks and internal portals, ensuring real value generation for user teams.
Operate with a strong internal product mindset, promoting adoption, onboarding, documentation, guardrails, support, continuous evolution and usage and impact metrics.
Structure backlog, capacity, prioritization, dependencies and execution rituals, ensuring predictability and balance between foundational portfolio projects and ongoing demands.
Provide technical leadership to external partners and suppliers, defining technical scope, engineering standards, quality criteria, integration, security, acceptance, documentation and knowledge transfer.
Ensure delivered assets have adequate support, focusing on operability, observability, security, reliability, a backlog of improvements and a clear view of run versus change.
Work in an integrated manner with Architecture, Engineering, Product, Operations, Security and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment between execution speed, adherence to standards and business needs.
Support decision-making in trade-off scenarios involving schedule, standards, risk, cost and impact, especially for strategic initiatives and under budget constraints.
