PAHO seeks a specialized consultant to update and edit the PANAFTOSA/SPV-OPAS/OMS web portals, enhancing institutional communication, accessibility, and usability across the Organization's digital spaces.

Essential: degree in Information Systems or CS, 3+ years in content for systems/websites, and strong skills in React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, .NET Core, Azure DevOps, GitHub, SQL Server; languages Portuguese (native), English and Spanish working knowledge.

Qualificações

• University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Desirable specialization in Programming.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in creating, editing, and maintaining content for systems and websites.
• Experience in React, HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, .NET Core, Azure DevOps, GitHub, SQL Server.
• Portuguese (native/fluent), English (working knowledge), Spanish (working knowledge).

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical consultancy services for modernization, restructuring, and maintenance of PANAFTOSA's web infrastructure.
• Improve institutional communication, accessibility, and usability of the Organization's digital portals.
• Review, optimize, and restructure the main PANAFTOSA webpage and its linked subsites.
• Deliver four main portals: MVP of the application portal, the Candidate Portal, the Administrator Portal, and the PAHO Portal.

Organizational context:

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Job purpose:

To provide specialized consultancy services for website content, focusing on Institutional Communication, to update and edit websites for the Pan American Foot-and-Mouth Disease and Veterinary Public Health Center (PANAFTOSA/SPV-OPAS/OMS). The goal is to enhance the visibility of PANAFTOSA/SPV-OPAS/OMS's actions and improve communication with partners and beneficiaries of the Technical Cooperation offered by the Center.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical consultancy services for the modernization, restructuring, and maintenance of PANAFTOSA's web infrastructure, improving institutional communication, accessibility, and usability of the Organization's digital portals. This includes reviewing, optimizing, and restructuring the main PANAFTOSA webpage and its linked subsites, redesigning intuitive layouts and visual standardization, and developing new institutional subsites. Responsibilities also cover hyperlink auditing, navigation mapping, and necessary technical documentation for knowledge transfer, ensuring the security, functionality, and continuous maintenance of produced systems. The consultant will produce four main deliverables: Documentation and MVP of the application portal, the Candidate Portal, the Administrator Portal, and the PAHO Portal.

Education:

Essential: University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields. Desirable: Specialization in Programming.

Work experience:

Essential: Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in creating, editing, and maintaining content for systems and websites.

Skills:

Essential: Experience in React, HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, .NET Core, Azure DevOps, GitHub, SQL Server.
