A network solutions provider in São Paulo is seeking a Network Support Engineer responsible for verifying and installing network components. Responsibilities include inspecting network equipment, performing cable management, conducting tests, and documenting installations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network devices and excellent organizational skills.

Qualificações

• Experience with verifying and validating Bill of Materials for network components.
• Familiarity with network equipment, including switches, access points, and firewalls.
• Skills in cable management and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Verify and validate network components.
• Inspect and set up network equipment.
• Perform cable patching and manage cables neatly.
• Conduct testing and user acceptance testing for installed devices.
• Provide console access for remote engineers to configure devices.
• Physically replace and install network devices (switches, APs, controllers, firewalls).
• Perform inter-rack and intra-rack patching with copper and fiber.
• Migrate endpoint connections from old to new switches; perform power-on tests.
• Conduct connectivity tests and user acceptance testing with on-site contacts.
• Document installed devices and leftover materials; take before/after photos.

Network Support Engineer at N Consulting Ltd

Scope of Work – Tasks to be Covered

• ✅ Verify & Validate the Bill of Materials (active & passive components).
• ✅ Receive and Inspect network equipment (switches, APs, controllers, firewalls).
• ✅ Rack and Stack devices in designated positions as per the layout plan.
• ✅ Cable Management: Identify and label network cables for installation.
• ✅ Power Setup: Verify available PDU sockets and install redundant power sources if required.
• ✅ Provide Console Access for our remote engineers to configure the devices.

Physically replace & install network devices, including:

• Switches (Core, Distribution, and Access Switches)
• Wireless Access Points (Ceiling/Wall Mounted)
• Gateway Controllers
• Firewalls

Cable Patching:

• Perform inter-rack & intra-rack patching with copper and fiber cables.
• Ensure neat dressing and labeling of cables inside the racks.

• Swapping Connections: Migrate endpoint connections from old to new switches.
• Testing: Conduct power‑on and connectivity tests for all installed devices.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Work with on‑site contacts to verify device functionality.
• Document Installation & Spare Materials: Submit a list of installed devices and leftover materials.
• Take Before & After Photos of racks, patch panels, and cabling.
