Location and Flexibility

This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from one of our offices in São Paulo (2 times/week or 8 days/month) or Porto Alegre (3 times/week or 12 days/month). Our WFN culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices.

The Opportunity

Our Test Engineering technologies vary by project, so we value flexibility and willingness to learn. Responsibilities

• Confidently deliver high-quality test strategies and implementation, applying critical thinking to products, requirements, and processes.
• Apply various types of testing methodologies and work collaboratively on implementation.
• Test a combination of individual stories and overall product through both local and deployed builds.
• Contribute to a test automation suite to ensure quality over time, both for local testing and in a CI pipeline.
• Navigate difficult conversations by providing constructive feedback to teams.
• Identify obstacles to ensure quality, improve user experience, and how we build tests.
• Be self-aware of limitations, yet curious to learn new solutions while being receptive to constructive feedback from teammates.
• Adapt to changing priorities by bringing positive energy.
• Communicate and simplify complex problems to foster understanding across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of test engineering experience.
• Experience with testing methodologies and automation implementation.
• Professional programming experience.
• Experience with Playwright (preferred) or Cypress.
• Utilizing Git, Github, and maintaining Github actions.
• Comfortable using the terminal and CLI tools.
• Proficiency in Typescript.
• Experience with Docker for building locally and testing.
• Collaborating directly with developers to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Ability to evaluate requirements and identify gaps for testing.
• Ability to navigate tickets and priorities in a fast-paced agile team.
• Advocate of SDLC processes.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

Bonus Points

• Mac experience preferred.
• Experience with Jira.
• Familiarity with Vercel.
• Familiarity with GCP.
• Familiarity with Firebase and Firestore.
