Job summary

John Deere is seeking a Mid-level Platform Engineer to join the Regional Office in Indaiatuba, SP. You will maintain cloud infrastructure, enterprise databases, and core hosting platforms, reporting locally with dotted-line alignment to international leadership.

The role focuses on operational excellence, IaC automation, and mission-critical reliability. You will work in a hybrid model (3 days on-site) and collaborate with a global team to enable scalable cloud services and robust hosting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
• Advanced English.
• Hands‑on work with infrastructure as code language such Terraform.
• Experience with relational or non-relational databases administration.
• Working knowledge of cloud services and automated deployment pipelines.
• Working knowledge of unit testing, secure coding, version control, and CI/CD practices.
• Foundational understanding of AI concepts and experience using AI-enabled development tools.
• Ability to break down defined problems, communicate progress and blockers, and collaborate with stakeholders and engineers.
• Working knowledge of security by design principles.
• Working knowledge of server OS administration (Linux, Windows Server).
• Curiosity, learning agility, and disciplined experimentation.
• Availability for a hybrid model (3 days per week on-site in Indaiatuba/SP).

We are looking for a Mid-level Platform Engineer to join our team at the Regional Office in Indaiatuba, SP. You will act as a key technical enabler, maintaining cloud infrastructure, enterprise databases, and core hosting platforms. Reporting locally while maintaining a dotted-line alignment with international platform leadership, you will partner with a global team. You will play an essential role in driving operational excellence, infrastructure as code automation, and mission‑critical system reliability.

Main Responsibilities

• Experience working with relational or non‑relational databases administration;
• Working knowledge of cloud services and automated deployment pipelines;
• Working knowledge of unit testing, secure coding, version control, and CI/CD practices;
• Foundational understanding of AI concepts and experience using AI‑enabled development; tools or integrating an AI service into an application;
• Ability to break down defined problems, communicate progress and blockers, and collaborate with stakeholders and engineers;
• Working knowledge of security by design principles;
• Working knowledge of server OS administration (Linux, Windows Server);
• Curiosity, learning agility, and a disciplined approach to experimentation;
• Availability for a flexible schedule and participation in a defined on‑call/maintenance rotation system that includes weekends;
