Job summary

BBST - Brazil is seeking a Mid-Level Airplane Systems Integration Engineer (Certification and Safety) to join the 777X team. You will lead systems integration for certification activities, interfacing with Systems, Propulsion, Interiors, Avionics, and Regulators.

The role requires knowledge of FAA/EASA/ANAC processes and experience with ARP 4761. The position is hybrid, with onsite work at a listed location.

Qualifications

• Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Must be registered or eligible to register with CREA.
• Proficient in English communications.
• Experience in airplane systems.

Responsibilities

• Systems integration focal for Certification and Safety projects.

Mid-Level Airplane Systems Integration Engineer (Certification and Safety) Company: BBST - Brazil

We are currently seeking an experienced Mid-Level Airplane Systems Integration Engineer (Certification and Safety), to join our dynamic the 777X team as a Systems Integration Engineer supporting the Certification and Safety team, in Brazil.

Key responsibilities include:

• Systems integration focal for Certification and Safety projects supporting the entire systems IPT (Integrator Product Team);
• Collaborate with organizations such as Systems, Propulsion, Interiors, Avionics, Structures, Reg Admin (Boeing Certification Office), and ALIT (Aircraft Level Integration Team) to coordinate/communicate technical information, processes, and strategies supporting airplane level certification and safety efforts
• Flow down direction from ALIT (Aircraft Level Integration Team) following Boeing safety process (based on ARP 4761)
• To promote alignments within internal areas of the company in order to conducted and conclude certification process (program area, other engineering areas, certification/airworthiness area, project management area, etc);
• Utilize feedback and lessons learned from systems teams to contribute to improvements on product development process.
• Partner with systems IPTs to support them in completing certification and safety activities within the specified program schedule and help resolve issues/roadblocks as they arise.
• Ability to find and understand Boeing processes, FAA & EASA regulations, and certification methods of compliance (Part 21 and Part 25);
• Ability to use requirements management tools when necessary;
• Facilitate various integration meetings (Readiness reviews, ALIT/ Reg Admin, and Program requests, host System team meetings for communications and data collection)
• To integrate system level and airplane level subjects when required / necessary.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
• Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
• Experience in any airplane systems

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

• Experience with ARP 4754 process
• Experience in design engineering / Engineering Design processes
• Experience in developing and managing metrics and Design Assurance or Process Assurance
• In depth experience with Agile project management techniques
• Ability to quickly analyze, understand, organize, and communicate complex technical concepts/problems across multiple disciplines
• Experience in Internal Technical Management Information Systems (DCCS, LCS, ECC, MBC, Fireview, ECSLIB, REDARS, ETAC, SharePoint, JIRA, Gitlab)
• It is preferred that the candidate should have certification and/or Engineering Change Approval training and if not, it is expected that they will go through certification and Engineering Change Approval training to become proficient.
• Desired knowledge and experience working with ARP 4761, DO-160. FAA/EASA/ANAC regulation (Part 21 and Part 25).
• Ability to act as a liaison and a reference in the work scope to integrate the areas.
