the8a is looking for a Project Manager Lead. We craft, create, scale, and connect, providing the infrastructure for global brands to reach the right audience at the right time. We operate like a content supply chain for the creative world—ensuring every piece of content is backed by a powerful activation system.
In this role, you will be the strategic architect of our delivery engine, guiding a team of Project Managers to ensure a seamless flow of operations across our portfolio. You will build and standardize the workflows that keep our creative supply chain running efficiently, ensuring every project aligns with our global partners' goals and activates flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
People & Process Management:
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with PMs to align on tasks, track project status, and identify red flags before they impact the pipeline.
- Define, standardize, and elevate the project management methodologies (Agile, Traditional, or Hybrid) utilized across our ecosystem.
- Create standardized templates, workflows, and tools to guarantee consistency and quality in all client deliveries.
- Actively support the resolution of internal team conflicts and remove critical blockers to keep the production line moving.
- Ensure all project outcomes are strictly aligned with the overarching business goals of our global partners.
Capacity Management & Allocation:
- Distribute projects across the PM team based on individual capacity, current workload, and seniority.
- Monitor team bandwidth closely to prevent burnout, proactively planning resource reallocations or new hires when the system requires it.
- Lead a daily alignment with the Operations team to assess the pipeline, set priorities, and evaluate the size and complexity of incoming projects.
- Hold weekly meetings with the Account Director to review workflow health, pipeline status, and potential delivery delays.
- Act as the primary escalation point for the Account Director, stepping in to navigate critical risks or severe budget/timeline deviations on high-impact projects.
- Train and mentor junior and semi-senior PMs on market best practices, including scope alignment, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating the exchange of lessons learned across the agency's portfolio.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven experience acting as a Project Manager Lead, PMO, or Senior Project Manager overseeing a portfolio of projects and managing other PMs.
- Location: Must reside in São Paulo, Brazil. While we operate remotely and independently, this role requires frequent in-person meetings with our clients.
- Contract: Must be able to work under a CNPJ contract modality.
- Deep expertise in defining and implementing project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to optimize operations and ensure a frictionless flow from idea to activation.
- Strong strategic vision with the ability to manage resource capacity, forecast workloads, and handle high-level escalations.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish desirable) to effectively collaborate with global brands and local stakeholders.
