Job summary

Kyndryl is hiring an IBM MQ Support Analyst to manage IBM MQ on z/OS in mission‑critical environments. You will install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance, ensuring high availability and robust security.

Strong mainframe expertise and experience with MQ administration are essential. The role requires hands‑on operation in a complex, hybrid setup in Brazil, with opportunities to advance skills through Be Well programs and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience with IBM MQ on z/OS: installation, config, admin, production support.
• Knowledge of Queue Managers, QSG, Shared Queues, Coupling Facility, channels, queues, Pub/Sub.
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning using logs, traces, dumps, SMF data, monitoring tools.
• Experience with high availability, DR, backup/restore, MQ security incl. SSL/TLS, certificates, RACF.
• Solid mainframe knowledge: z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SMP/E, REXX, OMVS, VTAM, SNA, VSAM.
• Monitoring/automation tools such as CA SYSVIEW or equivalent.
• Experience in mission‑critical production environments, incident RCA, preventive improvements.
• CICS TS for z/OS, zHyperWrite, and automation tools are desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; English proficiency.

The Role

• IBM MQ Support Analyst with experience in the administration and support of IBM MQ for z/OS in highly critical environments.
• Responsible for installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, SSL/TLS security, QSG administration, and incident support.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SMF, high availability, and disaster recovery practices.

Who You Are

• Strong hands‑on experience with IBM MQ on z/OS, including installation, configuration, administration, and production support.
• Knowledge of Queue Managers, QSG, Shared Queues, Coupling Facility, channels, queues, and Pub/Sub.

• Solid mainframe knowledge, including z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SMP/E, REXX, OMVS, VTAM, SNA, and VSAM.
• Experience with monitoring and automation tools such as CA SYSVIEW or equivalent.
• Background supporting mission‑critical production environments, incident management, RCA, and preventive improvements.
• CICS TS for z/OS, zHyperWrite, and automation tools are desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• English proficiency.
