Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an IBM MQ Support specialist for z/OS in a partially remote, Brazil-based role. You will manage MQ environments, install and configure components, and support production systems that require high availability and strong security controls.

Ideal candidates have extensive mainframe experience, knowledge of RACF and SSL/TLS, and proficient English communications to collaborate across teams and respond to incidents promptly.

The Role

The IBM MQ Support position should seek a professional with strong experience in IBM MQ for z/OS, administration of critical environments, and incident troubleshooting.

Who You Are

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ on z/OS, including installation, configuration, administration, and production support.
• Strong experience Experience with Queue Managers, QSG, Shared Queues, Coupling Facility, channels, queues, and Pub/Sub.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills using logs, traces, dumps, SMF data, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, backup/restore, and MQ security, including SSL/TLS, digital certificates, and RACF.
• Solid Mainframe knowledge, including z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SMP/E, REXX, OMVS, VTAM, SNA, and VSAM.
• Experience with monitoring and automation tools such as CA SYSVIEW or equivalent.
• Background supporting mission-critical production environments, incident management, RCA, and preventive improvements.
• CICS TS for z/OS, zHyperWrite, and automation tools are desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field and English proficiency.
