Kyndryl Brazil is seeking an IMS System Support Engineer to provide comprehensive support for the IMS infrastructure, apply patches, install tools, and maintain production environments with SMP/E expertise. The role emphasizes automation opportunities and proactive environment modernization in a hybrid work setting.

You will mentor new team members, engage with global stakeholders, and ensure service levels are met through clear communication and thorough incident resolution.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, BIS, or related field.
• Experience providing IMS system support including incident management and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes and support methodologies.

The Role

Provide comprehensive support for the IMS system infrastructure, including proactive environment improvements, application of system patches, and installation of IMS-related tools to ensure stability, performance, and operational efficiency. Install, upgrade and maintain IMS and its related tools in the production environment, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal system performance. Applied advanced SMP/E (System Modification Program/Extended) skills to efficiently manage and maintain the IMS infrastructure, including software deployment, patching, and configuration control.

• Apply innovative approaches to support environment modernization and process optimization.
• Strong focus on automation opportunities within mainframe environments to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Demonstrate professionalism in client communication, negotiation, and solution delivery, ensuring systems are robust, resilient, and aligned with business needs.
• Mentor new employees who may join the IMS System Support Team

Who You Are

• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with global stakeholders and customers.
• Proven experience providing IMS system support, including incident management, troubleshooting, user support, system monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Strong understanding of IT service management processes and support methodologies.
• Experience analyzing and resolving system-related incidents, service requests, and escalations within defined SLA requirements.
• Knowledge of ticketing and support tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and communicate resolutions clearly to end users.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining support documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
