Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a nearshore Lead Java Full Stack Engineer with extensive experience in commerce to support an AI-driven AI-powered checkout initiative. You will build and support backend services for payments, loyalty, promotions, and other commerce systems, while enabling AI-driven checkout flows with validations and guardrails.

The role demands 5+ years of backend Java experience, React.js front-end work, and cloud familiarity (GCP/Azure).

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of backend development experience with Java.
• Experience building Front-End components with React.js.
• Proficiency in building REST APIs and microservices.
• Exposure to AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and backend integrations.
• Cloud experience with GCP and/or Azure.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
