EPAM Systems Brazil is seeking a nearshore Chief Java Full Stack Engineer with deep Commerce expertise to drive an AI-powered checkout project. You will develop and maintain backend services for payments, loyalty, and promotions while supporting AI-driven checkout experiences.

The role requires 7+ years of Java/Spring Boot backend work, React.JS frontend experience, strong REST/microservices skills, and cloud exposure (GCP/Azure).

Qualifications

• 7+ years building backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on production experience building Front-End components with React.JS.
• Strong skills in developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and their backend integration.
• Real-world production experience using Claude Code.
• Experience working with GCP and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Openness to learning and adapting to emerging tools, patterns, and technologies.
• English language skills at a B2 level or above.
