Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot. You will build REST APIs, work with MySQL data modeling, and collaborate across product, QA, and mobile teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.

The role focuses on scalable microservices architecture, secure and well-tested code, and production issue resolution. Experience with cloud environments and AI-assisted tools is valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong REST API design and development skills.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• MySQL, SQL, relational data modeling, and query optimization knowledge.
• Understanding of software design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with unit/integration testing and modern testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of application security fundamentals and secure API development.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, English at least B2.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java.

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Java backend development, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and relational databases.
