Job Description

The IT Specialist is responsible for assembling and maintaining in-house technology equipment and studio assets. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, upgrading and troubleshooting all studio hardware, software and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver required hardware and software service levels.
• Provide hands-on assistance to the Technical Operations team and relay IT related recommendations.
• Install, configure, test, maintain and troubleshoot studio and network hardware, peripheral devices, scanning devices, POE camera equipment, and associated software.
• Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware/software problems for a variety of studio and network devices.
• Assist in the adaptation and incorporation of Audio/Video hardware.
• Familiarize with TechOps related gear, components, procedures, nomenclature, systems, etc., and remain up to date on relevant new technologies and developments.
• Respond to incoming calls, tickets, and/or e-mails regarding hardware problems.
• Contribute to and maintain proper documentation.
• Provide training to team members or other relevant personnel if needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in installing and troubleshooting MS Windows OS, Linux OS, desktop hardware, and in deploying and maintaining servers and network equipment.
• Experience with POE devices, such as CCTV cameras.
• Experience in running and terminating cable, such as Cat6, Cat5, coaxial etc.
• Experience in working in an Active Directory environment with systems tools such as a Wire Shark, Fluke Meter, Multi-meter, and other low voltage based tools.
• At least intermediate command of English.
• Previous experience working in a similar setting preferred.
• Readiness to travel occasionally (within LatAm and abroad).
• Ability to work in a deadline-based environment.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools.
