Role Overview

The IT Operations Manager – Applications oversees IT services and SLAs for ERPs, MES, satellite, and legacy systems across Amcor Flexibles Brazil and indirectly throughout Latin America. The role leads a team of Application Leads, Project Managers, Specialists, Business Analysts, and contractors.

This role acts as a Business Relationship Manager, managing stakeholder engagement, prioritizing demands, and driving innovative solutions via the project portfolio. It is responsible for daily operations, support, enhancements, and delivery of transformational projects within budget.

This role is remote but travel to the Sao Paulo office is needed on a monthly basis.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Building relationships with business leaders and addressing business needs with technology thinking.
• Strategic decision making and successful influencing on leadership level.
• Lead IT Operations teams to meet internal requirements and service levels, as well as support maintenance of existing applications as well as implementation or development of new solutions.
• Lead regular managers’ meetings and communicate directly with IT senior management on a regular basis.
• Develop team talent and manage teams’ development plans, providing day-to-day management and technical leadership.
• Act as escalation point for critical/urgent incidents and for internal customer feedback on the IT services delivered for Amcor Flexibles Brazil.
• Maintain effective communications with vendors, peers, and internal team members in support of assigned projects.
• Ensure there are written project plans, operational procedures and documentation of system designs/configuration.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure Teams to ensure installation, administration, and troubleshooting of IT Infrastructure and other system related components while ensuring best practices are implemented.
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and cost reduction related to synergy targets.
• Monitor and report quality of the services delivered and Key Performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications/Requirements

• A technology related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/studies. An MBA is a plus.
• 7+ years’ experience in IT or equivalent with IT management, project management, consulting, and business process reengineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid SAP experience required.
• Proven track record of process standardization, adoption of best practices, service measurement, customer satisfaction monitoring.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience in leading diverse teams and third-party vendor management.
• ITIL Foundation certification or above is a plus.
• PMP Certification (or equivalent) is a plus.
