Amazon Financial Technology Team is seeking a Programmer Analyst/Support Engineer to optimize our tax integrations and platforms, including custom solutions for tax in Brazil. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with big data, and embraces the challenge of complex business contexts that are often defined in real-time.

Our applications serve as the central hub for all Amazon.com tax and financial data, providing the foundation for key tax processes, including direct and indirect taxes, both domestically and internationally. This role requires quick learning, adaptability, and the ability to handle overlapping tasks effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Analysis and Validation: Analyze and validate input and output streams of tax data flows, check reconciliations related to online and offline transactions, and support end-users.
2. Collaboration: Work with business partners to research and analyze questions regarding tax software, configurations, and calculations.
3. Technical Operations: Engage with customers and developers daily to address technical issues; participate in research, planning, and design discussions.
4. Troubleshooting: Support interface errors between systems.
5. Design and Development: Contribute to the design and development of technology solutions, leveraging data to improve business processes.
6. Operational Excellence: Identify root causes of issues, implement corrections, and seek continuous improvement.
7. Communication: Maintain clear cross-functional communication regarding decisions, risks, issues, and solutions.
8. Innovation: Push the limits of third-party software through innovative design and delivery.
9. Customer Interaction: Be prompt, professional, articulate, and persistent in interactions with customers and partners.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Tax software experience
• Experience with Oracle database and middleware technologies (preferred)
• Experience with Brazilian tax software
• Experience with Synchro (preferred)
• English proficiency
• At least 4 years of experience in developing and supporting software applications
• At least 4 years of experience with data analysis and SQL
• Experience with reporting systems and business applications such as MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project, and MS SQL
• Proven troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• Experience with financial or tax software implementation, configuration, support, and reporting
• Experience with Oracle EBS or similar ERP modules related to Finance, Tax, and Accounting
