AB InBev is seeking a backend developer to join BEES, AB InBev’s B2B platform, working on Java-based services, APIs, and microservices. You will implement features, ensure reliability, and collaborate with product and engineering peers to deliver scalable solutions for retailers and merchants globally.

The role emphasizes clean code, SOLID principles, testing, and performance monitoring within a modern cloud-enabled environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• Experience developing backend applications using Java.
• Solid understanding of OOP, Clean Code, SOLID, and design patterns.
• Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices and frameworks.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of observability with logging, monitoring, and metrics.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to code quality and development standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and non-production issues.
• Design and implement integrations with internal and external systems.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven solutions.
• Monitor application performance and contribute to system reliability, scalability, and observability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to architecture and DevOps practices.

What you will do:

We are looking for people with:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• Experience developing backend applications using Java.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Clean Code,SOLID principles, and software design patterns.
• Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices and frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of observability concepts, including logging, monitoring, and metrics.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
