Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer & SRE to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments. You will be responsible for automation, tooling, and incident management with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Kubernetes-based platform across public and private clouds.
• Leverage observability tooling to ensure actionable alerts and up-to-date runbooks.
• Lead end-to-end incident management incl. root cause analyses and post-incident reviews.
• Onboard and support new clients on the platform.
• Build automation and diagnostic tooling to reduce manual effort and improve performance.
• Identify and deliver process improvements for operations.
• Support hardware and software upgrades and keep components current.
• Proactively manage capacity to scale with demand.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Infrastructure Engineer & SRE to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments, including automation, tooling, and incident management.

MUST HAVES

• Hands-on experience of at least 4 years operating Kubernetes in production, ideally with Service Mesh.
• Strong Linux and command line fundamentals.
• Confident debugging and troubleshooting complex systems, from the application layer through to lower-level infrastructure.
• Experience working with a public cloud provider, preferably Azure or AWS.

NICE TO HAVES

• Working knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and Tempo is a plus.
• Scripting or coding in Python or Java is a strong plus.
• CI/CD, infrastructure as code such as Helm or Terraform is a plus.
• Financial services background is not required.
