Job description

Our client is a high-growth, high-social-impact global fintech backed by the world's most distinguished venture capital and investment funds. Our mission is to transform money transfers to emerging economies, offering a simple, fair, and reliable tech experience for migrant communities worldwide. They are defined by an agile, pragmatic, and bureaucracy-free culture where direct execution, speed, and user obsession drive everything they do. If you are looking for a role with high ownership, direct social impact, and end-to-end responsibility for taking a key market to the next level, this is the place for you.

What will you do in this role?

As Country Manager / Head of Brazil, you will have complete ownership of the operation, performance, and expansion of the Brazilian market. You will combine high-level strategic vision with a hands-on approach to scale the business holistically.

  • End-to-End Country Leadership & P&L: Define the vision and strategy for Brazil, taking direct responsibility for the P&L, revenue, costs, profitability, and key performance metrics (unit economics).
  • Growth & Acquisition Strategy: Lead massive growth levers (performance marketing, referrals, influencers, local partnerships), ensuring every initiative is tailored to the Brazilian consumer.
  • Payment & Remittance Operations: Oversee the end-to-end operational experience, guaranteeing a reliable, seamless, and competitive pay-in/pay-out service.
  • Partnerships & Supply Development: Identify, negotiate, and manage strong relationships with local financial, commercial, and strategic partners to back our business infrastructure as we scale.
  • Regulatory & Institutional Environment: Ensure regulatory compliance in Brazil, working hand-in-hand with Legal, Compliance, and local regulators within the payments and financial services ecosystem.
  • Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination: Build and lead a high-performing local team while coordinating with central teams (Tech, Product, Finance, People) to translate global goals into concrete local priorities.
What should you bring?

Proven strategic and operational track record:

  • Experience in top-tier strategy consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or similar).
  • Subsequent relevant experience leading Growth, Strategy & Operations, Expansion, or New Business projects within tech companies or high-growth fintechs.
  • Business Acumen: Direct exposure to P&L management, operational/financial metric definition, and data-driven decision-making (excellent analytical skills).
  • Experience in Brazil: Deep understanding of the Brazilian consumer, their financial habits, and the local business/partner ecosystem.
  • Language Proficiency: Native Portuguese and fluent English (essential).
  • Drive for the Challenge: Previous experience as a Country Manager is not required, provided you demonstrate the potential, pragmatism, and autonomy to lead an entire market.
  • (Nice-to-have) Previous experience in the remittances, payments, digital finance, or financial services industries.
Desired Competencies
  • Execution Mindset ("Own It" Mentality): Ability to move seamlessly from high-level strategy to hands-on operational execution with speed and pragmatism.
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving: Ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities, learn rapidly, and solve complex problems in dynamic environments.
  • Customer Obsession & Purpose (Mission-Oriented): Relentless focus on user experience and empathy for financial inclusion and migrant communities.
  • Negotiation & Stakeholder Management: Skill in building trust-based relationships with commercial partners, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
  • Autonomy & Resilience: Ability to operate independently in an agile environment, establish priorities amidst ambiguity, and deliver strong results.
What will you get in return?
  • Real Impact: The opportunity to lead one of the company's most strategic and important markets with direct responsibility over the business.
  • Location & Flexibility
    • Primary Locations: Strong preference for candidates to be based in São Paulo (Brazil), New York (USA), or Mexico City (Mexico).
    • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel internationally periodically and ad-hoc to engage directly with local diaspora communities, key commercial partners, and global team members.
  • Competitive Compensation Package: Market-aligned salary + incentive package. Full Time
  • Culture & Flexibility: A global, dynamic, bureaucracy-free, and results-oriented work environment that prioritizes outcomes and impact over rigid presenteeism.
  • Professional Growth: Accelerated executive career development by taking on full ownership (Country Manager) of a key market in the region.
  • Collaborative & International Environment: Direct exposure to founders and leaders who are ex-consultants and backed by top-tier global investors.
