Amazon Inc. in Brazil is seeking an Area Manager for Books production to lead a team of hourly associates on the floor, overseeing safety, quality, and productivity.
You will manage staffing, analyze forecasts, and drive daily performance while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in a Print on Demand operation across Brazil.
Strong communication in English and a track record in people leadership are essential to succeed in this multinational, multilingual team.
As an Area Manager for Books business, you will lead a team of hourly associates through the daily rhythm of digital book production—from printing through binding, finishing, and ship-ready packaging. You will focus on four fundamentals: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity. This is a floor-based leadership role in a production environment, not a corporate function. You will stay close to the equipment, the team, and the operation, with direct accountability for daily performance and customer outcomes.
You will spend much of your shift on the production floor, leading your team and staying close to the operation. You will review safety, production targets, staffing and equipment status, while monitoring performance, coaching associates and resolving operational or technical issues with support teams.
In Print on Demand, priorities can change quickly, requiring data-driven decisions, problem solving and labor adjustments to protect safety, quality and customer commitments.
