Monee is seeking a Brazil-based Senior Fraud Leader to define and drive the local fraud prevention roadmap, monitor key metrics, and manage a regional team. You will collaborate with Asia, financial institutions, and partners to protect customers and growth.

You will build governance, improve controls, and translate fraud insights into actionable policies while guiding the local operations. A hybrid work model supports collaboration and flexibility.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides.
• Experience in fraud prevention, risk, or operations with leadership.
• Strong analytical skills and SQL desirable.

What will your mission be?

This role is responsible for leading Monee Brazil’s fraud prevention strategy and operations, acting as the main local fraud expert and key counterpart for regional and cross-functional stakeholders.

The position brings local market expertise, monitors emerging fraud trends, and translates fraud cases and performance insights into policies, controls, and strategic priorities that protect customers and the business while supporting sustainable growth.

The role will also maintain close interaction with regional teams (Asia), market participants, associations, and providers, providing structured feedback on fraud policies, their practical effects, and opportunities for improvement.

In addition, the position leads the local fraud team, strengthens operational governance and monitoring, and establishes a structured review of undetected fraud cases to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.

Job Description

What your day-to-day will loo look-like:

• Define and lead Brazil’s fraud prevention roadmap, aligned with business priorities and regional guidelines;
• Bring local fraud knowledge, benchmarks, regulatory developments, and market trends to support decision-making;
• Maintain strong relationships across the fraud prevention ecosystem, including associations, financial institutions, market participants, and providers;
• Provide regional teams with structured analysis and feedback on policy effectiveness, operational impacts, and improvement opportunities;
• Establish a recurring process to review missed fraud cases, identify root causes and control gaps, and recommend improvements;
• Monitor key fraud metrics and lead the local response to material fraud incidents;
• Maintain SOPs, monitoring routines, escalation criteria, and work closely with Product, Technology, Credit, Operations, CS, and Compliance;
• Build and develop the local fraud team while strengthening Monee’s reputation as a safe, reliable, and trustworthy company.

Requirements

What you need to take on this challenge:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Data, Law, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides;
• Strong analytical skills and experience with fraud monitoring, case management, BI, and data visualization tools;
• Ability to analyze large datasets; SQL proficiency is highly desirable;
• Familiarity with fraud prevention technologies, including identity verification, device intelligence, behavioral analytics, and transaction monitoring solutions;
• Business-level English, written and spoken, required for regular interaction with regional teams (Asia);
• Experience in fraud prevention, fraud risk, or fraud operations, including people leadership;
• Experience building, transforming, or scaling fraud operations and local capabilities;
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian fraud typologies, including Pix, identity, payment, account takeover, and credit fraud.
