Protein Plus in the Northern region of Brazil is seeking a Quality Assurance specialist to ensure compliance with food safety and quality systems as the business grows.

You will perform physico-chemical, sensory and microbiological tests on food products, provide GMP and food hygiene training to production staff, conduct shelf life studies, monitor materials, arrange calibrations, and support audits and inspections.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology or relevant field
• Experience with ISO, SFA, Halal, and F&B audits
• Prefer experience in Central Kitchen environments
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
• 2–3 years of related work experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality systems for growth and operations
• Perform physico-chemical, sensory and microbiological tests on food products
• Provide GMP, food hygiene and food safety training to production personnel
• Conduct product shelf life studies
• Monitor raw materials, packaging materials, and finished product quality
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory
• Arrange external calibration and purchasing of consumables and equipment
• Conduct factory inspections for compliance with food safety requirements
• Coordinate with pest control services
• Support external food safety audits
• Address ad-hoc quality and safety matters as assigned by management

Job Specifications

• Ensure the compliance of food safety and quality systems for the business growth and operations for the Company.
• Perform physico-chemical test, sensory evaluation and microbiological tests on food products.
• Provide GMP, food hygiene and food safety training to Production personnel.
• Perform product shelf life study test.
• Monitor raw materials, packaging materials, and finished product quality
• In-charge of maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory.
• In-charge in arranging external calibration and purchasing of consumable items and equipment for laboratory used.
• Conduct factory inspections to ensure compliance with the food safety system requirements
• Coordinate with pest control service provider
• Attend and provide support in external food safety audits.
• Attend to any other ad-hoc quality and safety matters.
• Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors’ Degree in Food Science and Technology or relevant field
• Relevant experience in handling ISO, SFA, Halal, and F&B outlet audits
• Previous working experience in Central Kitchen environment would be preferred
• Strong knowledge in the relevant regulatory standards
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of related work experience
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
