OOCL is seeking a Finance Manager for the Brazil Office, based onsite in São Paulo. You will establish the accounting and finance functions, lead financial closing, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and ensure IFRS compliance for both group and local reporting.

You will manage cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance, coordinating with HR, Commercial, and Operations to align processes. Advanced IFRS knowledge and Brazilian regulatory experience are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA status in Brazil are preferred.
• Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related fields is advantageous.
• Active Brazilian CPA certification (CRC) desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and structure accounting and finance functions in Brazil per global standards.
• Lead close, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure IFRS and local standards compliance for group and local reporting.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
• Ensure timely, accurate reporting to Head Office and compliance with tax/regulatory requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance, and risk management.
• Collaborate with HR, Commercial, and Operations for alignment.
• Monitor KPIs and drive reporting quality and process improvements.
• Oversee AR management and reduce overdue balances.
• Act as liaison with external auditors and regulators.

Position: Finance Manager – Brazil Office

Accountabilities

• Establish and structure the accounting and finance functions in Brazil in accordance with global standards.
• Lead key processes including financial closing, reporting, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards for group and local reporting purposes.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to Head Office.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements in Brazil.
• Establish and strengthen internal controls, governance, and risk management practices.
• Partner with HR, Commercial, and Operations to ensure process alignment and compliance.
• Monitor financial and accounting KPIs, ensuring reporting quality and driving continuous improvement.
• Ensure effective accounts receivable (AR) management, including credit control and reduction of overdue balances.
• Act as the main liaison with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and local stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related fields is an advantage.
• Active Brazilian CPA certification (CRC) desirable.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Solid experience in the maritime, logistics, port, or international trade sector.
• Experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in multinational companies.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax, statutory, and regulatory environment.
• Proven knowledge of IFRS, financial closing, financial planning, and cash flow management.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
