Finance Manager - Building Materials Industry
Overview
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Brazilian operations. Analyze market trends, project profitability, and identify cost-saving opportunities in the building materials sector. Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to optimize costs and act as the financial liaison for APAC/LATAM stakeholders, leveraging Chinese language skills for supplier negotiations.
Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Brazilian operations.
- Analyze market trends, project profitability, and identify cost-saving opportunities in the building materials sector.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to Brazilian GAAP, tax regulations (e.g., SPED), and international standards (IFRS).
- Prepare consolidated reports for HQ and regional leadership in English/Chinese.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to optimize supply chain costs.
- Act as the financial liaison for APAC/LATAM stakeholders, leveraging Chinese language skills for supplier/partner negotiations.
- Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Monitor currency exposure, raw material price volatility, and credit risks.
- Implement robust internal controls.
- Leadership & People
- Mentor local finance teams and foster cross-departmental alignment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years’ financial management experience, with 3+ years in building materials, construction, or industrial manufacturing.
- Full professional proficiency in Portuguese and English.
- Advanced Excel/ERP skills (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Highly Preferred
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese for seamless communication with global HQ, suppliers, and partners.
