The Field Service Technicianis responsible for providing installation support, maintenance, and repair on 2-3 groups of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic and optical (basic) instruments and keep customers satisfaction.

This position reports to the Service Manager Latamand is part of the Service Departmentlocated in São Paulo/Capital and will be remote and cover Latam region.

In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Provide installation support, field actions, maintenance, and repair on 2-3 groups of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic and optical (basic) instruments. Control the spare parts under own responsibility to maximize customer uptime and field service-related metrics.
• Provide other technical support as requested, for sales, application and quality, in order to contribute to company in achieving strategic goals and financial targets, by providing excellent field services to customers.
• Conduct,understand complex system operation, documents and troubleshooting and documenting according to local and Leica policies in a time manner.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Technical Degree;

Experience:

• Experience working with life science devices, medical devices, industry or related industry experience.
• Strong technical acumen – analytical with the ability to understand complex system operation, documents and troubleshooting.

Language:

• Portuguese & English (Advanced) - mandatory;
• Spanish (Intermediate) - desirable.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel >80%, occasional overnight travel, must maintain flexible schedule, often with short notice.Occasional international travel may be required for attending customers and/ or participating in trainings.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and valid passport.
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment’s.
