The Field Service Technician is responsible for installation support, maintenance, and repair of 2-3 groups of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic, and optical instruments, ensuring customer satisfaction.

This role reports to the Service Manager Latam and is based in São Paulo/Capital, with remote work and coverage across the Latam region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing installation support, field actions, maintenance, and repair on specified instruments. Managing spare parts to maximize customer uptime and service metrics.
• Offering technical support for sales, application, and quality to help achieve strategic and financial goals through excellent field service.
• Understanding, troubleshooting, and documenting complex system operations in accordance with local and Leica policies.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Technical Degree

• Experience with life science or medical devices, or related industry experience.
• Strong technical skills, analytical ability, and troubleshooting expertise.

Language skills:

• Portuguese & English (Advanced) – mandatory
• Spanish (Intermediate) – desirable

Travel & physical requirements:

• Ability to travel >80%, including occasional overnight and international travel, with a flexible schedule.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and valid passport.
• Ability to lift and move equipment.
