Job summary

Manfield Employment Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Facilities Engineer to oversee daily operations and hands-on maintenance of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and water systems in a regulated environment. The role requires coordinating servicing, monitoring equipment via BMS/EMS, and driving preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.

You will analyze performance trends, prepare documentation, and support audits and shutdown planning while ensuring safety and compliance across all activities.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in facilities maintenance or engineering.
• NITEC / Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Eng.
• Experience in cleanroom or controlled-environment facilities.
• Hands-on with building services, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Strong electrical fundamentals with troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and fault diagnosis.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; able to prepare maintenance reports.
• Good communication and ability to work across levels.
• Independent worker who can guide others.
• Willing to standby 24/7 and rotate 12-hour shifts.

Job Description:

• Oversee daily facilities operations and perform hands‑on preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and RODI water systems.


• Plan, schedule, and coordinate equipment servicing and preventive maintenance activities with internal teams and external vendors.


• Attend to equipment breakdowns, operational disruptions, and out‑of‑specification conditions to restore normal operations promptly.


• Monitor facility conditions and equipment performance through Building Management Systems (BMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).


• Perform sensor calibration, equipment verification, daily log recording, and maintenance work order completion.


• Review maintenance records, analyse performance trends, and update equipment checklists and technical documentation.


• Support facilities improvement projects, change control activities, document revisions, and internal and external audits.


• Prepare detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports, investigate recurring faults, and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.


• Guide team members in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues with minimal supervision.


• Drive predictive maintenance initiatives based on equipment lifecycle and reliability requirements.


• Identify and manage critical spare parts, coordinate maintenance service contracts, and support procurement and vendor administration.


• Assist with annual plant shutdown planning, maintenance progress monitoring, and other facilities‑related programmes.


• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with site safety, environmental, and operational requirements.


• Carry out additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant facilities maintenance or engineering experience.


• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Experience in cleanroom, manufacturing, or similar controlled‑environment facilities.


• Hands‑on experience with building services, HVAC, electrical systems, and facility equipment maintenance.


• Strong electrical fundamentals with practical troubleshooting and maintenance experience.


• Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning, equipment servicing, and fault diagnosis.


• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare maintenance reports.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels.


• Able to work independently, guide team members, and resolve technical issues systematically.


• Willing to provide 24-hour standby support and work rotating 12-hour shifts when required.
