Job description

The Executive - Accounts is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing financial reports. This role ensures the timely and accurate preparation of budgets, financial statements, levy management, and statutory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Analyse financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow) and identify key trends.

Conduct variance analysis between actuals and budget/forecast to understand financial performance.

Prepare management reports that provide insights into financial and operational performance.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

Track budget performance across departments and highlight any potential issues.

Ensure that the financial forecasting aligns with the overall business strategy and objectives.

3. Compliance, Audit & Tax

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and corporate tax filings.

Prepare and review tax calculations and submissions.

Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards.

4. Cash Flow Management, Accounts Payable & Receivable

Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations

Actively exercise loan repayment / external placement

Oversee the timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.

Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.

5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

Participate in automation and reporting enhancements.

Ensure that proper internal controls are in place for financial operations

Identify areas for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

6. Ad-hoc

Support strategic decision-making with relevant financial insights.

Carry out feasibility study on potential new business / investment.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by superior/HOD

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy/Finance. Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA etc.) is an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
