We are looking for a Accounting Specialist to join our Administrative and Finance Department in Guarujá, Brazil, with a focus on CCIS Brasil's accounting and financial operations.

This role is essential to ensuring accurate accounting entries, bank reconciliations, cost control, and financial performance analysis, contributing to operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and strategic business decision-making.

Role Objective

To analyze and perform financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines, the reliability of financial information, and process efficiency, while contributing to cost control and the organization's financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Financial Operations

• Record all services contracted by CCIS Brasil, monitoring financial workflows and bank reconciliations to ensure payments are processed accurately.
• Ensure accurate billing for MnR, LOLO, and Manaus operations, ensuring that the related costs are recognized in the appropriate accounting period.
• Support accounting, accounts payable, and controlling activities.
• Respond to management requests and provide support to different business areas.

Financial Planning and Control

• Prepare and analyze CCIS's monthly financial KPIs, in collaboration with the accounting team, explaining any deviations from the budget.
• Monitor and analyze costs, identifying opportunities to reduce expenses and optimize resources.
• Support the preparation of the annual budget and periodic revisions, analyzing variances and proposing corrective actions.
• Prepare management and financial reports, providing relevant information to support decision-making.

Process Management and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes by proposing and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency.
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and reliability of financial and accounting information.
• Participate in QSSE-related initiatives, complying with established guidelines and supporting the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the integrated management system, with a focus on safety and the environment.

Scope of Responsibilities

• Activities across accounting, accounts payable, and controlling.
• Support for financial planning and control, reporting, and performance indicators.
• Interaction with CCIS Brasil employees and the Finance and Accounting teams at CMA CGM/Mercosul.
• Liaison with auditors, banks, municipal authorities, suppliers, and service providers.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
• Previous experience in financial routines, including accounting, financial planning, and cost control.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• English proficiency, including conversational skills. Advanced English will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in a corporate or port environment will be considered an advantage.
• Dynamic, organized, and detail-oriented profile.
