Amazon is seeking an experienced Accountant based in Sao Paulo, BR. You will manage day-to-day financial accounts, indirect tax support, and annual audit support, with a hands-on, start-up mindset.

You will provide analytical support for strategic planning, build relationships with Finance, Legal and Tax teams, and contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly finance reporting.

Qualificações

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
• Experience with Oracle and other accounting software.
• In-depth knowledge of Brazilian Accounting Standards and tax laws.

• Own operational accounting for multiple countries worldwide – day-to-day management of financial accounts, indirect tax support, and annual audit support.
• Own BR accounting/compliance and build/maintain relationships with Amazon Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Tax teams.
• Support in ongoing financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
• Perform deep dive analysis to understand drivers of business.
• Work with other teams to ensure our financial reporting is in sync with other systems.
• Participate in the business and improve processes to grow the business.
• Support tax teams by providing audited Financial Statements, other documents for tax compliance.

Amazon is seeking an experienced Accountant based in Sao Paulo, BR. This team focuses on improving customer experience at Amazon globally.

The Accountant will be hands-on and have an entrepreneurial spirit / start-up mindset as they support the operational accounting of a global team, which includes day-to-day management of financial accounts, indirect tax support, and annual audit support. They will provide analytical support for key business decisions and participate in strategic planning. They will prepare key metrics and weekly, monthly, quarterly finance reporting as well as support processes for analyzing performance to understand business variations.

Key job responsibilities

• Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills
• Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
• Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)
• Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
• Experience in accounts receivable or account payable
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
• Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience supporting month-end closing processes and contributing to financial reporting under established procedures
