Job Responsibilities
- Support the definition of the corporate environmental licensing strategy
- Directly manage critical/strategic licensing processes and support concessionaires with complex procedures
- Provide technical support for defining project alternatives through risk analyses and database development
- Conduct technical visits to concessionaires to understand construction works, projects, and environmental licensing requirements
- Technically manage Environmental Licensing processes, including Preliminary Licenses (LP), Installation Licenses (LI), Operating Licenses (LO), and compliance with conditions and legal requirements
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, including IBAMA, ICMBio, IPHAN, FUNAI, DNPM, Fundação Cultural Palmares, CETESB, and IAT
- Technically manage the Environmental Management System and ensure the reliability of concessionaire information
- Strengthen the sustainability of implemented initiatives and ensure ISO 14001 Environmental Certification where applicable
- Propose standard procedures for services and construction works by analyzing environmental impacts and optimizing financial resources
- Prepare terms of reference for the procurement and preparation of environmental studies, projects, programs, and supervision services
- Establish procedures and standards for Environmental Licensing during the execution of construction works and services
- Conduct environmental impact analyses and optimize financial resources
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an Environmental focus, Biology, or a related field
- Previous experience in environmental management for infrastructure projects or in infrastructure-related environmental consulting
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015
- Knowledge of Environmental Legislation and Environmental Licensing
- Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems
- Technical report writing skills
- Environmental License and Permit Condition management
- Category B driver’s license
- Preferred: Experience in highway concessions
- Preferred: Experience with Environmental Licensing for highway construction works
- Preferred: Advanced English
