Jobtailor in São Paulo, Brazil, is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory requirements, licensing with authorities, and mandatory reporting. This role coordinates waste, water, and emissions programs and contributes to ISO-aligned management systems.

The position involves audits, stakeholder engagement, and development of sustainability initiatives, with a focus on continuous improvement and community outreach.

Qualificações

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Biological Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
Graduate certificate or postgraduate degree in Environmental Management or a related field (preferred for professionals without a degree in Environmental Engineering)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and SAP
Knowledge of environmental management systems and platforms, such as Ius Natura
Knowledge of environmental legislation and requirements related to CETESB and IBAMA
Internal Auditor training for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 standards
Intermediate English is a plus

Responsabilidades

Manage the environmental legal requirements applicable to the site and monitor legal compliance action plans
Be responsible for environmental licensing processes with municipal, state, and federal authorities
Prepare and submit mandatory reports and declarations, including MAPAS, RAPP, Annual Well Monitoring, the Solid Waste Management Plan (PGRS), and the Hazardous Materials Route Registry
Manage the site’s waste management program
Coordinate water management, including potability analyses, submissions to SISÁGUA, reporting through SIDECC, and the cleaning and sanitization of reservoirs and wells
Monitor the operation of the sanitary effluent treatment system and track analytical results
Monitor and report atmospheric emissions from mobile and stationary sources
Contribute to the Integrated Management System in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 standards
Conduct and participate in internal and external audits, including NIMS and certification audits
Audit third parties and service providers for compliance with environmental policies, standards, and procedures
Coordinate meetings and initiatives of the Sustainability Committee
Propose, develop, and monitor environmental sustainability projects
Serve as the technical reference and custodian of the site’s environmental requirements
Support the Occupational Safety team with work permits, AAS activities, and operational routines
Update and monitor environmental KPIs on a monthly basis
Plan, implement, and oversee the site’s environmental management and engagement with the surrounding community
