Siemens Energy is seeking a senior engineering assurance professional to ensure technical consistency and compliance across Grid Automation and Substation projects. You will establish assurance processes, perform audits, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on reducing rework and enhancing project efficiency.

The role interfaces with Engineering, Project Management, Customers, and Compliance, delivering reliable solutions while meeting regulatory and company requirements.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years in engineering assurance or technical compliance for HV substations.
• Experience with Protection, Control and SCADA systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of documentation lifecycle and ISO standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead engineering assurance processes and workflows for grid projects.
• Establish stage gates and review deliverables against standards.
• Audit engineering output for compliance and traceability.
• Monitor adherence to procedures and improve KPI performance.

A Snapshot of Your Day

You get involved with the engineering team to ensure the technical consistency, accuracy, and compliance of engineering deliverables within our Grid Automation and Substation projects. You will establish and maintain assurance processes, perform technical compliance audits, drive continuous improvement initiatives, analyze performance metrics, and support engineering teams in delivering reliable engineering solutions that meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements.

You act as a key interface between Engineering, Project Management, Customers, and Process Excellence and Compliance organizations, helping to prevent defects, reduce rework, and improve project execution efficiency.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Implement and improve main engineering process; Develop, implement, and maintain engineering assurance procedures and workflows.
• Establish stage gates and review processes for engineering deliverables; verify compliance with internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards.
• Monitor adherence to engineering procedures and best practices; ensure consistency, completeness, and technical accuracy of project documentation.
• Identify opportunities to reduce engineering rework and improve productivity; define and maintain engineering performance KPIs.
• Provide management reports and improvement recommendations; Promote an excellence-focused culture across engineering departments.
• Train engineering teams on assurance standards and lessons learned; support onboarding and development of engineers regarding assurance expectations.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, electronics or other related engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering assurance, project engineering, panel assembly or technical compliance related to Protection, Control and SCADA Systems for high voltage substations in greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Strong understanding of Engineering documentation lifecycle, Engineering design review processes, Management Systems, ISO 9001, 27000 and 14000 requirements, Root Cause Analysis methodologies and Risk management techniques
• Technical Competencies such as management Systems, engineering Reviews, audit Management, data Analysis, process Improvement, risk Assessment and technical Documentation Control
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, while effectively communicating, managing stakeholders, coaching and mentoring others, maintaining a continuous improvement mindset, and delivering a strong customer focus.
• Valid B1/B2 Visa for the United States of America.
• Communication skills in English language (B2 / C1).
