A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Product Development Engineer for Power Transformers – core & clamping design, you are a major part of the power transformers development group. Within a global development team, you are responsible for defining and supporting technical rules and solutions. You ensure that we define and implement uniform and standardized components, enabling new sustainable engineering solutions in a timely manner while keeping costs to a minimum. You will be involved in different R&D projects within the Product Management organization and support power transformer factories worldwide.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Collaborate within a global R&D and factory network to drive innovation and support regional demands.
  • Promote standardization and modularization programs while developing, improving, and implementing transformer design rules for specific applications.
  • Assist regional factory sites and engineering teams with technical expertise and operational support.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferred) and correlated areas
  • Working experience as a power transformer design engineer for Core & Clamping. Experience in windings and/or winding assembly design is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Core & Clamping design (3D models, drawings and bill of materials).
  • Mechanical structural calculation of metallic structures. Experience with FEM calculation tools (ANSYS, CREO Simulate, others) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with a systematic approach to complex problem-solving
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
